River Radiology, our June Client of the Month, is dedicated to providing the highest-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care in the Hudson Valley. The imaging center seeks to provide each patient, referring healthcare provider, and coworker with compassion and respect while delivering accurate and timely exams/reports.
River Radiology is operated by the largest and oldest radiology group in Ulster County, dating back to 1961. First known as Ulster Radiologic Associates, the business underwent a number of name changes throughout the years with varying areas of focus. Eventually, a second private office was opened in 1989, and renamed to River Radiology in 1999. In 2000, the business purchased a historic factory building in Kingston (next to the YMCA), which is where they continue to operate today.
River Radiology, whose physician group consists of four board-certified radiologists, provides a variety of services including MRIs, CAT scans, PET scans, Ultrasounds, X-rays, their newest service, 3D Mammography, and more. Located at 45 Pine Grove Avenue, the imaging center is open 7am-9pm Monday through Thursday, 7am-5pm on Fridays, and 8am-2pm two Saturdays a month. They also work with most major insurance companies.
According to River Radiology marketing rep Lynda Intrabartolo, “The key ingredients to our success is what we do for patient convenience, including: convenient hours with some evening and Saturday availability, we’re easily reachable by phone where you’ll talk to a real person, we have very convenient parking just steps away from our office, and reports to the ordering provider will typically be received the same or next day. In addition, we have a portal for offices to see reports and images as soon as they are completed and read by the radiologist, and we have a great team committed to providing the best services and care… and it shows.”
River Radiology has been insured by Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers since 2018. When asked why they chose R&R as their insurance agency, HR/office manager Angela Donoghue responded by stating:
