Brickmen Kitchen + Bar, June’s Client of the Month, offers “modern dining with a global spin on Hudson Valley flavors.” Located at 47 North Front Street in Kingston, the restaurant was founded in the spring of 2023 by restaurateur Dave Amato, drawing inspiration from Kingston’s rich history.
Dave’s grandfather, Joseph Amato, worked in the Kingston brickyards from the young age of nine. He grew to become a well respected member of the Kingston community, known for his “charismatic personality, his commitment to always helping neighbors in need, and his freshly ironed suits and signature fedora.” He went on to open a number of successful restaurants in the area, and Brickmen is Dave’s nod to all of his grandfather’s accomplishments.
Brickmen has an open kitchen format, with both indoor and outdoor seating, including an outdoor bar and deck. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, 11:30am-10pm, and for brunch, lunch, and dinner on Sundays, from 10am-9pm. Menu highlights include the clothesline bacon, lollipop style chicken wings, and The Brickmen sushi roll, in addition to an assortment of salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts.
