Blue Duck Brewing Co., June’s Client of the Month, is a brand-new business brewing up something special right here in Kingston. Located at 79 Hurley Avenue, the brewery is set to officially open its doors this July.
This father-and-son venture, led by Rich and Ryan Gillette, is more than just a place to grab a pint. It’s a passion project that’s been over a decade in the making—born from years of conversations and a shared entrepreneurial spirit. Rich, an entrepreneur himself, helped inspire Ryan’s path early on. Brewing since high school, Ryan turned his passion into a profession and sees craft breweries not only as creative outlets but also as powerful engines for local economic growth. Together, their goal is to bring jobs, community, and quality beer to the heart of Kingston.
At Blue Duck, all beer will be brewed in-house, with a wide variety of styles on tap—but the team is especially excited about their lagers. Guests can expect a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere featuring large communal tables, bar seating, and an outdoor patio perfect for summer sipping. For those looking to bring the experience home, canned beer and growler fills will be available.
Blue Duck Brewing will also feature a full liquor bar and a kitchen operated by the beloved Phoenicia Diner, offering an exciting food menu to pair with your favorite brew.
When asked why they chose Ryan & Ryan as their insurance agency, Ryan responded:
