Hurley Mountain Inn, September’s Client of the Month, is a family owned and operated restaurant and sports bar located in Hurley, New York. Run by the Nekos family for the past 26 years, Steve Nekos is a hands on owner, handling the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, in addition to helping out behind the bar and cooking in the kitchen. His wife, Valerie, comes up with all of the weekly dinner specials, implements innovative ideas to keep customers happy, and makes the Inn’s fresh soups and baked breads.
Since its inception, Hurley Mountain Inn has established a loyal patron base, and is known for their wings, burgers, top sports coverage, and perhaps most notably of all, their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration in March. Year after year, people come from all over to celebrate and feast on the restaurant’s famous corned beef and cabbage. Fall is also another busy time of the year for the Inn; the weekend of September 14-16 is their six months to St. Patrick’s Day party, followed by Oktoberfest, and patrons can watch “Every Game Every Sunday” with the restaurant’s NFL Sunday Ticket.
Hurley Mountain Inn is open seven days a week and is comprised of an open and airy dining area with a country inn atmosphere, a porch perfect for a more intimate dining experience, a game room complete with video games, pinball, pool, and darts, and a bar where you can stay up-to-date on your favorite sporting events, while enjoying one of their many beers on tap from around the world. The institution also welcomes parties for all occasions.
